Barbeque Steak Pasties
  • 480 g lean rump steak cut into strips
  • 2 shallots chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbs barbeque sauce
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 8 sheets filo pastry.

Preheat oven to 190C Coat oven try with cooking spray .  Heat a non-stick frypan coated with cooking spray and stir fry steak until lightly browned.  Add the shallots and garlic and cook a further 1 minute.  Allow to cool, then stir in the barbeque and soy sauce.

Layer 2 sheets of filo pastry together and place a quarter of the beef mixture onto the pastry.  Roll up pastry tucking in the ends.  Place on the prepared try and repeat with remaining ingredients to make four rolls.  Coat rolls with cooking spray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
