Where do Meat 2 U deliver to?

Meat 2 U currently delivers to the Melbourne metro area, but we are continually expanding and may be able to service your location – please contact us for more information.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is free for all orders over $50.00 (unless there is an urgent delivery request which may incur a small charge)

How is my meat packaged and delivered?

1. Vacuum Packs

All of our meat is vacuum packed – this extends the storage life compared to supermarket meat, because all the air is removed from our packaging. This ensures you get your fresh meat in perfect condition.

2. Insulated Foam Cartons

The vacuum packs are placed in insulated Foam Cartons for transport. The contain insulated Foam Cartons special ice packs that will keep the contents chilled at fridge temperature for 12 hours, even on a doorstep in the heat of summer. Your first order with Meat 2 U will include a one-time $10 deposit for the Insulated Foam Carton service. When you leave your empty insulated Foam Cartons outside on delivery days, it will be replaced and recycled by Meat 2 U.

3. Refrigerated Vans

The insulated Foam Cartons are transported direct to your door in one of our refrigerated delivery vans, ensuring that your Meat is as cool and fresh as possible when you receive your order.

How should I store the meat?

Simply take the meat out of the insulated Foam Cartons and pop the vacuum pack straight into the fridge or freezer.

How long will the meat keep?

As the meat is delivered fresh, it will be fine in your fridge for up to 4 weeks (1 weeks for chicken), provided that you keep it in the vacuum pack. Every Delivery comes with full handling and storage instructions. If you decide to freeze the meat instead, it will keep for 6 months.

When will my meat be delivered?

Once we receive your order, we will contact you to arrange delivery. If you have an urgent delivery requirement, it can be arranged, but it may incur an additional delivery charge.

What happens if I am not home when my meat arrives?

We leave the package in a safe place – e.g. on the porch, on the doorstep, in a shed or garage, etc. If you have special instructions for delivery just let us know, either in your order comment, or by contacting us.

How can I pay for my order?

You can pay via an Electronic Funds Transfer into our bank account. Alternatively, we offer a C.O.D service, and we will collect payment from you when we deliver your meat; we do ask that you have close to the exact amount because our drivers do not carry large amounts of change.

How can Meat 2 U offer quality meat cheaper than supermarkets?

At Meat 2 U we buy direct from the wholesaler, and we cut and prepare all the meat ourselves on our licenced premises. Without the overheads of the supermarket chains, we are able to provide fresh, top-quality meat at great prices without compromising the quality, delivered to your door. All of our Meat is 100% premium grade 100 day grain fed meat
